The standard of Singapore food court these day are getting higher and higher. Passing by old Tiong Bahru MRT, not exactly your high end high life venue. Surprise to see there is this Japan tepenyaki beside the main entrance. Not those readily made Hotplate of cooked BBQ pork, but chef on the spot will do some knife spinning trick in front of you, those type. Of course the price are are two three notch up the normal food, but his restaurant cruisin are slowly but surely creeping into neighborhood town.
Lately , The Tiong Bahru also comes into lime light. Both commercially and in public media. Many high end shops and niche business are setting up sale point here. Gone are , the old house plus char Kway Teow image.Now, it's the prime time channel 8 sitcom show buz center.
Most surprisingly even some says it was voted into some big international resident award.Not too bad for a old neighborhood.
